With the 7pace Timetracker and BigPicture integration, you can leverage time tracking information by viewing track time in BigPicture through custom 7pace Timetracker fields and gain insights into team member capacity. In this demonstration, we'll review how to activate the integration, how to track billable R&D time in BigPicture, and use 7pace's Times Explorer to review team member capacity. Let's get started. To begin, from BigPicture, click Settings > Integrations. Select the 7pace Timetracker tab, and use the slider to enable 7pace Timetracker integration. Save the change. Next, we'll display two custom time tracking fields in BigPicture, Activity type and Billable, allowing us to learn more about how team members spend their time. Open a BigPicture project in the Gantt chart. Here, epics and work items display along with original time estimates and actual time spent. Let's add custom time tracking information from 7pace to the BigPicture Gantt chart. First, we'll add the custom field for Activity type R&D, then add Billable hours. Now we see additional information from 7pace Timetracker on the Gantt chart, illustrating how the team tracked billable research and development time in the project. 7pace Timetracker strives to provide users with a seamless, integrated tool for tracking time. There's no context switching with 7pace Timetracker. Everything you need to track time exists in Jira. To track time, click the option in 7pace Timetracker for + Add time. Select the date, enter the duration, a comment if necessary, and complete any custom fields, Billable and Activity type in this example. Save the worklog. From 7pace Timetracker's Times Explorer view, click the BigPicture and 7pace integration button, and filter for a time period to view capacity notes for each team member. Or, group the Times Explorer view by a custom field, such as Activity type, to see where team members are spending their time. To summarize, the BigPicture and 7pace Timetracker integration leverages time tracking data to assist your team in keeping projects on track.

## Integration overview

One of BigPicture’s most valuable features is tracking individual capacity. Now, you can integrate BigPicture’s capacity features with 7pace Timetracker for Jira and quickly monitor whether team members are below, at, or above capacity, all within 7pace Timetracker’s *Times Explorer*.

> ℹ️ The capacity badges displayed in the screenshot above (Below Capacity) are only visible to users with BigPicture’s **Resource Administrator **and** App Admin** roles.

## Activate the integration

When BigPicture is installed in your Jira instance, a new message displays in 7pace Timetracker, indicating that BigPicture is ready to integrate.

7pace Timetracker admins can use the following steps to activate the BigPicture integration.

1. From the integration message above, click **Go to Integrations**.
2. In Settings > Integrations, click **Enable Integration**.

> ℹ️ Note that all BigPicture data is processed in the EU.

## Integration functionality

Now, in *Times Explorer*, the icons at the top of the page indicate that 7pace Timetracker displays individual capacity from BigPicture.

And you can quickly view cumulative time tracking data along with an individual’s capacity:

> ℹ️ The capacity badges displayed in the screenshot above (On Track, Above Capacity, Below Capacity) are only visible to users with BigPicture’s **Resource Administrator** role.

Additionally, there is a new view available in the *Times Explorer* for **Person capacity**.

Notes about the new **Person capacity** view:

1. It’s only available when an administrator activates the BigPicture integration.
2. Once an administrator activates the BigPicture integration, users cannot update or remove the view. However, the view can be modified and saved as a new layout.
