## Overview

The **Snapshot Collection** feature lets you easily organize and share Comala Publishing app snapshots of Confluence pages with the right people, while maintaining control over who can access and edit the information.

You can use each snapshot document that you create in one or more collections. This lets you add the same snapshot to several different groups of documents. You can also manage the user permissions for each snapshot collection separately from the original source documents.

### Who owns, contributes, and can view a collection?

Each collection has an owner - the **[Collection Manager](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AHP/pages/649531257)**[.](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AHP/pages/649531257) This is usually the user who created it. The collection owner can choose who can

- Contribute snapshots to the collection - **[Collection Contributors](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AHP/pages/649531433)**
- Who can view the collection - **[Collection Viewers](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AHP/pages/649792746)**

Snapshots are also versioned, with the version incremented each time you create a new snapshot, so you easily see the currency of your documents in a collection.

You can also automate the creation of snapshots on a document using an applied Comala workflow.
