## Deleted or removed documents

If a previously published document is

- ***deleted from or moved out of the target space***, the source space document status is updated to  [NEW] - a blue **NEW** lozenge
- *deleted from or moved out of the source space*, the target space document status is updated to  [REMOVED] - a red **REMOVED** lozenge

> 📝 If you recreate a source space document after deleting the previously published source space document, you need to
> 📝 
> 📝 - Remove the previously published target space document
> 📝 - Then publish and sync the new source space document

## Who can see the space publishing status lozenge?

The display of the **space publishing** status lozenge on the **source space content** can be configured in [space publishing settings](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AHP/pages/649726972).

The **Display Publishing Status Lozenge** option is enabled by default to display the status lozenge on documents in the source space.

If the current user **has view** permission for the source space document, the user sees

- The status lozenge
- A link to the source space page
