This release migrates the **Announcer **app (Confluence and Jira) from Atlassian Connect to Forge. The app now runs on Atlassian's **Forge Remote** platform.

The upgrade preserves your existing app data. If migration is required, it is handled automatically during the upgrade.

## What's changed in the Forge version

The following table summarizes the differences between the previous Connect version and the new **Forge Remote** version.

## Improvements

This release includes the following improvements.

### Announcer now runs on Forge Remote

The Announcer app now runs on Atlassian’s **Forge Remote** platform instead of Atlassian Connect. Moving to **Forge Remote** aligns the app with Atlassian's cloud platform while maintaining the existing Announcer experience.

### Dark mode support

Announcer now supports the dark theme in Confluence and Jira, providing a consistent experience when Jira is configured to use dark mode.

## Compatibility

Your existing Announcer configuration is preserved during the upgrade. If app data requires migration, it is migrated automatically as part of the upgrade process.

The following integrations are not available in the Forge version:

- Status.io
- Active Incidents

All other Announcer functionality remains available.
