# <span style="color: #333333">April 7, 2021</span>

- <span style="color: #333333">Added a </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Whitelist HTML tags</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> parameter </span><span style="color: #333333">in Global Configuration </span><span style="color: #333333">to specify which HTML tags can be used in the announcement body. By default, some commonly used HTML tags are already allowed for use. Administrators must use this feature cautiously to avoid any possible security vulnerabilities.</span>

- <span style="color: #333333">Changed default notification format to Markdown </span><span style="color: #333333">from HTML</span><span style="color: #333333">. The notification editor now uses a rich text editor to allow use of HTML tags and Markdown content easily.</span>
- <span style="color: #333333">Added support to scroll through multiple announcements of type banner, and accept or dismiss an announcement as required. Note that this is not available for </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Announcer for Jira</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> cloud as Jira does not support banners.</span>

<u>Introducing </u>[<u>Announcer for Jira cloud</u>](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211928/announcer-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview) - Jira cloud users can now use the *Announcer for Jira *app to configure announcements to communicate important information. These announcements are displayed in the targeted Jira project(s) issue view. Also, Jira dashboard users can use the *Announcer for Jira *gadget to see the list of all the acknowledged announcements and view the active announcements configured for them by an administrator.

- <span style="color: #172b4d">Added a </span>**<span style="color: #172b4d">Remind Me Later</span>**<span style="color: #172b4d"> option to </span><span style="color: #172b4d">temporarily mute the announcement for a specific time period as defined by an Administrator. </span><span style="color: #172b4d">Administrators can enable the option, which appears next to the </span>**<span style="color: #172b4d">Acknowledge</span>**<span style="color: #172b4d"> button, for end users in an announcement. The button text, explainer text, and, the length of time till the user receives the message again, can be customized in the</span><span style="color: #172b4d"> </span><span style="color: #091e42">Global Configuration</span>* *<span style="color: #091e42">screen.</span>

- Changed the "Announcer for Confluence" homepage to point the the document URL in the add-on information.
- Fixed an issue with the deletion of announcements not reloading the announcement summary.

- Fixed an issue with "Announcer for Confluence" where the spinner kept spinning for instances that have not yet acquired a license.
- Fixed an issue where the targeting of spaces may not work in some cases.
