# Enhancements

## Migration to Forge Remote

The Reports and Timesheets for Jira app has moved to <u>[Forge Remote](https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/forge/remote/)</u>.

> 📝 - Appfire recommends upgrading the Reports and Timesheets for Jira app to the Forge Remote version to stay current with future enhancements and security updates.

### Upgrade to Forge Remote

To upgrade the app to the Forge Remote version, you need Jira administrative privileges.

1. Log in to [https://admin.atlassian.com/](https://admin.atlassian.com/) and select your **organization**.
2. In the left navigation pane, go to **Apps **and under **Sites**, click the **Site** name.  
The **Site settings** page opens.
3. Under **Site settings**, click **Connected apps**.
4. From the **Connected apps** page, you can view, update, configure, and uninstall installed apps.
5. The Reports and Timesheets for Jira app displays an **Update** label. Click **View app details**.
6. To upgrade the app, click **Update**.
7. The *Confirm app update* dialog opens. Click **Update**.

> 📝 - Until you upgrade the app, you will continue using the existing **Connect on Forge** version.
> 📝 - The app supports both Connect on Forge and Forge Remote versions, with the same features and functionality.

> ❌ - Bookmarked absolute URLs from the Forge on Connect version of the app will no longer work in the Forge Remote version. Open the app and navigate to the required page.
> ❌ - Administrator impersonation of Jira users is not supported in Forge Remote. This is an Atlassian limitation, and the corresponding Atlassian ticket [https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ECO-244](https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ECO-244)  is currently in the *Gathering Interest *status.

## Post upgrade steps

After upgrading the app to the Forge Remote version, follow the steps below to reset the Reports and Timesheets time entry panel for Jira work items.

### Reset the Reports and Timesheets time entry for the work items

To use the Reports and Timesheets time entry on the Jira work items details page:

> 📝 You must reset the Reports and Timesheets for Jira time entry separately in each required space.

1. Navigate to any **Jira work item **in the required space and click **View app actions**.
2. Select **Reports and Timesheets**, and the Reports and Timesheets time-entry panel appears on the Jira work items details page.
3. To apply this to all work items in a space, click **Actions** (…) and then click **Show for all work items**.
