## About BigTemplate

Don't be limited by a pre-defined export document style offered in Jira. Install **[BigTemplate](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215229/bigtemplate-export-to-pdf-word-excel?hosting=datacenter)**** **and enjoy saving unlimited custom templates tailored to your needs.

BigTemplate has been designed to empower you to:

- Export all management data from BigGantt to preferred file formats (.xlsx, .odt, .csv, .mpp, .mpx, .pdf).
- Export Jira issue content to MS Word, MS Excel, or PDF.
- Import management data from the MS Project or MS Excel file to BigGantt.
- Create export templates for your Jira issues and all management data from BigGantt.

## Export

The export function is a feature that lets you export the data visible on a given BigGantt module to a file for further work with that data. Different modules support export to various formats. PDF export is not clickable; the file contains only the screenshot(s).

### Export availability in modules

The table lists modules where you can use the export feature.

| [Overview module](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdcDRAFT/pages/2613570561) | You can export data from the Overview module while in the Hierarchy, Timeline, or Kanban board view. |
| [Gantt module](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdcDRAFT/pages/2613571129) | The Gantt module supports the following export formats: PDF, XLSX, CSV, MPP, MPX, and XML. |

### Export Jira issues

Open your Jira issue and choose a template you want to export. The exported file is ready to distribute, print, or send.

There is no need to create a document from scratch because we have done it for you. You can freely modify templates designed with the best User Experience in mind and make them visible on the Jira issue page or the Gantt module.

## Customize

Edit our default templates or create your own from scratch. BigTemplate allows you to save an unlimited number of custom templates.
