## About the box hierarchy

In BigGantt, the box hierarchy provides a structured way to organize and manage projects, tasks, and teams within a larger framework. The hierarchy lets you create multiple levels of boxes, with each level containing relevant tasks, projects, or teams, enabling clear visualization and control. 

By grouping related items together, you can easily manage complex portfolios and projects, ensuring better alignment and focus. The box hierarchy offers flexibility, allowing you to scale and adapt as your project needs to grow. 

## Organize boxes into programs 

In BigGantt, the Program boxes aggregate data from the inside of the child boxes. Move existing boxes by using drag and drop in the [Hierarchy mode](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525476935) of the [Overview module](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525607431), or [add new boxes](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525181653) to the Program.

## Agile project

To create an Agile project, follow the steps below:

1. Click the icon **'+ Add new'**.
2. Select the 'AGILE - Agile Project' from the drop-down.

3. Enter the Box name together with the Start and End date.

4. You can add the Iteration box type as sub-boxes.
5. Enter the [box name](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525214223) together with the start and end dates.

> ℹ️ By default, [Iteration boxes](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525280272) are sequential, which means that the app can suggest the end date if the duration was already set. For example, let's set the duration of Iteration 1 to two weeks.

Here, the scheduling mechanism adds +1d to the start date of the previously created box.

### Adjust dates on [Timeline mode](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BGdc/pages/3525870050)

Switch to the Timeline mode to adjust the dates directly on the timeline.
