## What is a Comala board?

A Comala board is a fast and effective way for you to brainstorm and visualize your content and ideas.

A board can be embedded in

- an existing page by adding the boards macro or
- a new page when creating a page using a Comala Boards Blueprint

Several board templates can be used to help you get started, such as the [SWOT Analysis board](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CBCCL/pages/641998054).

A board consists of columns into which you can add containers. Each container has the following attributes:

- the container name
- the container description
- the labels defined for each container

The board layout and container attributes are edited using the [board editor](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CBCCL/pages/641964055).

A range of [practical board templates](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CBCCL/pages/641894095) are available when adding a board to a page.

[Boards](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CBCCL/pages/641894095) are selected in the board picker when adding a board.
