A Document Approval workflow added and applied *to an individual page* can be removed using the **Remove Page Approval** option in the **page tools menu**.

When removing the **page approval**, you can choose to clear or retain the **[document activity](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDACL/pages/631898362)** for the document.

A popup is displayed to confirm the removal of the page approval.

- check the **Delete Document Activity** to remove document activity on the page when removing the page approval
- leave **Delete Document Activity** unchecked to retain the document activity on the page or blog post when removing the page approval

Choose **Remove** to remove the page approval.

After removal of a page approval, if a new page workflow is added when **Document Activity** was retained:

- the last approval workflow state in the document activity is applied - not the initial **Review** state of the new page workflow
- if the current state is one of the draft states, **Review** or **Rejected, **and the document had previously been in the **Approved** state, the page sub-title includes a breadcrumb link to the approved content
- any previous document activity is available in the [document activity report](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDACL/pages/631898362)

> 📝 The **Remove Page Approval** option appears on pages and blog posts only when a **Page Approval** has been added to the individual page - and the [space approval](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=cdacl&title=Adding%20and%20Applying%20Comala%20Document%20Approval%20to%20a%20Space&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=690094521) is not active.

If the user does not have space admin permission, the popup does not display the option to delete document activity. The document activity is retained by default.

> ℹ️ A space approval on a page can only be removed by disabling the approval in the app space settings. You can also clear the document activity for all the documents in the space in the app space settings.
