The **Basic Approval Workflow** is included with the Comala Document Approval app.

The approval workflow consists of three states:

- <span style="color: #ff9900">**Review**</span>
- <span style="color: #ff0000">**Rejected**</span>
- <span style="color: #008000">**Approved**</span>

The workflow is used to help ensure that content is reviewed and signed off.

When the approval workflow is added to a page or blog post, the [content state byline item](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDACL/pages/689570358) is added below the page or blog post heading.

The name of the current approval workflow state is displayed together with the state indicator circle.

Editors can manage the approval process using the [workflow popup](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDACL/pages/689832160) accessed by using the [state byline](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDACL/pages/689570358).
