## Overview

A page or blog post in the Review state or Rejected state can be reviewed and approved by a user. A successful approval transitions the workflow to the **Approved** state.

The workflow popup displays

- confirmation of the approval process
- button link to the **[Activity report](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDALS/pages/649823076)** for the page workflow events and actions

The page or blog post in the **Approved** state will transition to the **Review **state on

- updating the page or blog post
- reaching a set date when the content is set to have expired

There is no other option to transition the page from the Approved state to another state in the applied workflow.

A due date needs to be added each time the approval workflow transitions to the **Approved **state.

The due date is only active for the document when it is in the **Approved **state

## Icon colour

The **clock** icon in the approval state dialog box changes color to indicate the current status of the **due date**.

If a due date has been added, the icon includes details of the current time period before the **Approved** state content expires.
