## Add a reader

Once a read confirmation request has been added to content (either as a standalone read confirmation or in the workflow on transition to the final state), a page editor can add a user to the read confirmation using the [read confirmation dialog box](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDALS/pages/649757283).

You can search for a user to request read confirmation by their **full name,** **username,** or **email address**.

Check the checkbox for the user and select **Save** to add the user as a reader.

Remove a reader

Users can be added or removed as readers using the **Edit readers** menu option.  
  
Clear the checkbox for the user to be removed and choose **Save** to update the readers.

A reader can be removed, even if they have completed the requested read confirmation.
