## Overview

When a workflow is added to a page or blog post, the workflow **content byline item** is added below the document title.

The name of the current workflow state is shown next to a colored status indicator circle.

Choosing the status indicator circle and state name byline breadcrumb opens the workflow state dialog box for the current state.

> 📝 A user with **view-only** permission is able to access the workflow state dialog box but the contents are inactive.

The **content byline item** changes to show the current [workflow state](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDCCL/pages/631472415). For example, the Basic Approval Workflow has three states.

When in a draft state (either **Review** or **Rejected**), if there is also an approved version of the document, the content byline item includes a link to the current version of the approved state.

A user can view the latest approved version by choosing the **View approved** byline item.

The latest approved version is displayed with a byline item confirming that this is an approved version and a **View pending approval** link to the current draft version.
