# Overview

Content reviews, or [approvals](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDMC/pages/2193195490), focus on approving or rejecting the content of a page or blog post. They are specific to a workflow state and include two default buttons in the workflow dialog: **Approve** and **Reject**. A space administrator can customize these button labels.

# Assign reviewers

Content reviews can be configured to assign one or more users as reviewers.

You can assign reviewers in any of the following ways:

## Pre-assign reviewers in the workflow

### Pre-assignment of reviewers to an assignable content review

You can set up a content review to have certain users **pre-assigned as reviewers**. These reviewers are automatically added when the page enters the **content review** state. You can also manually add more reviewers later using the workflow state** **dialog.

### Pre-assignment of mandatory reviewers

Sometimes, a content review must be approved by **specific users**. The workflow automatically adds these mandatory reviewers when the page transitions into the **content review** state.

Approval from them is required to move forward.

## Manually assign one or more reviewers using the workflow state dialog

A content review can be configured to allow assignment of one or users as reviewers.

If the content review is assignable, on the page, a user will be able to manually assign, reassign, and unassign one or more users as reviewers using the workflow state dialog. 

The **+ Add reviewer** button is added to the workflow state dialog if the content review is assignable.
