When ready for approval, a user with edit permission approves the page using the workflow popup on the page. - on approval, the workflow transitions to the **Approved** state - if rejected, the decision is recorded in the document activity, the workflow stays in the **In Progress **state and the approval is reset Editors can restrict who reviews the content by assigning one or more users as reviewers through the workflow popup. ![cdmdc_workflowpopup_inprogress_state_assignedreviewer.png](media://d100293e-12ab-4f47-b4f8-3ab8bf9afc2f) Only assigned reviewers can approve or reject the content. All assignees must agree for the approval to be complete and the workflow to transition to **Approved **or reset the Review in the current state. The workflow popup in the **Approved** state includes an **Activity report** option to view the workflow document activity for the page. ![cdmc_documentactivityreport_simpleapprovalworkflow.png](media://ec5f9d89-0b08-4352-a978-514b0049abec) The **Approved** state is the **final** or published state for the applied workflow. ## Draft and published content The Simple Approval Workflow has a **final state **that differentiates between - content in a **draft state **(**In Progress** state) - content in the** final state **(**Approved** state) - the **final state version **(the latest approved version) > ℹ️ The latest approved version is the page version on the last transition into the final state. This allows an editor to [switch between draft and published content](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/649858126). It is enabled by default in this dashboard and when active - added to the [Page Workflows Templates Dashboard](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/649827962) in a space - available to add or copy as space workflow to the [document management dashboard](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/649827041) in a space > 📝 The **Simple Approval Workflow** can be added as a page workflow in a space by default.
