## Overview

A user can add a workflow task using the Add Task option in the page tools menu. The option is displayed when

- No workflow is applied to the page

- The applied workflow is in a **taskable** state

## Add a task

In the page tools menu:

- Choose **Add Task**

The byline is added to the [workflow status bar](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650117676) on the document and the tasks dialog box opens to add a new workflow task.

- Add a new task by adding a task name in** New Task **option

> ℹ️ If you do not add at least one task, the **Tasks** byline link may disappear. You can choose **Add Task...** to make it reappear.

Once clicked, the **Tasks** link is displayed on the workflow status bar, from which you can access the [tasks dialog box](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/649824290):

Using the tasks dialog box, you can:

> Macro (children)
