--- title: "Read confirmation dialog box" canonical: "https://support.appfire.com/space/CDML/650218477/Read%20confirmation%20dialog%20box" format: markdown --- > Macro (aura-html) ## Overview The read confirmation dialog box lets you keep track of the progress of a read confirmation. ![image](media://476bd746-babc-42d9-9bfa-685585117016) When a read confirmation is added to a document, the read confirmation dialog box is accessed from the page header using the read confirmation icon> Macro (inline-media-image) . ![image](media://7f9db593-2a51-41dd-8dc7-2169151daaf6) Or if at least one reader has confirmed, the dialog box can be opened using the read confirmation breadcrumb added to the page footer The contents change to reflect the current state of a read confirmation:  - Overall read **confirmation status** - **PENDING** - **CONFIRMED** - **OVERDUE** - Each individual **reader’s confirmation status**, including the content version and time for the read confirmation - Current period for the **due date** for read confirmation completion The dialog box lets you to add and remove readers and reset the read confirmation status. The read confirmation dialog box is used with [standalone read confirmations](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/649827501) and [workflow read confirmations](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650218328), including a [workflow with no states](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650347654). ## Read confirmation dialog box menu ![image](media://f877421b-3464-490e-bbca-34431f0289e0) The ellipsis menu in the read confirmation dialog box lets page editors and administrators: - [Edit readers](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650252403) for the read confirmation. - [Resend read confirmations](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650251671) and reset the read confirmation for all previously confirmed readers. ## Edit readers Choose **Edit readers** to [add readers](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650252403). ![image](media://3fe63ac1-6eed-4dfe-b103-2b5f937fb3c9) Search user(s), check the box(es). ![image](media://95b7d156-2f1a-4601-b053-3b154e211bdc) Choose **Save** to add users as readers. ![image](media://c2018db1-e6be-4463-bcc0-2ea97edfd8eb) You can also use **Edit readers** to [remove users who have been assigned as readers](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDML/pages/650252403). Simply uncheck the box for each user and **save** to update the users who have been assigned as readers. You can manually remove any reader, whether confirmed, unconfirmed, or added by the workflow. ## Reader confirmations Individual reader confirmations are tracked in the dialog box.  ![image](media://c72c8dd0-ef37-43a0-ac76-888e0f4d96e8) Move the pointer over the green tick icon to view the date of confirmation for each reader.
