Users of the chat widget are able to [set display preferences](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CFSD/pages/147784224), to customize the way the widget shows information.

Defaults of these preferences can be set Jira-wide using the **Chat User Preference Defaults **page.

You can set the following defaults:

- showing issue keys in conversation list and in the chat header
- showing unresolved issues only
- showing summaries instead of the last message in the conversation list and in the chat header instead of the "welcome message"
