By default, chat uses sound notifications when a new message arrives and the browser window with the chat is not focused. Additionally, sounds are used also in other situations - when the ["welcome ribbon"](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CFSD/pages/147784248) is shown, when new user's message is detected in the [Issue View](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CFSD/pages/147784195) open by the supporter (when their browser window is not focused), etc.

You can disable the sound notification by clearing the checkbox shown below
