# New features

The [**Chats**](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHAT/pages/85663951/Chat+Dashboard?atl_f=PAGETREE)[ tab](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHAT/pages/85663951/Chat+Dashboard?atl_f=PAGETREE)'s user-centric approach allows users to configure their own settings. While this flexibility is beneficial, we recognized that it could also lead to inconsistencies and additional manual work.

To improve efficiency and consistency, we’re introducing three admin features designed to enhance the chat experience across teams:

### Standardized Details view

Admins can now configure and lock the chat **Details** view to maintain a consistent display for all agents. After customizing the custom fields, click the lock icon to apply the selection to all users and confirm.

Once locked, agents cannot modify the displayed fields, maintaining consistency across the team.

### Shared filters, Personal filters, and Default settings

Admins can now create and manage **shared filters** for all users. Filters are grouped into two categories:

- **Shared filters** – Created by admins, visible to all users.
- **Personal filters** – Created by agents for individual use.

Any admin can create, edit, and remove shared filters, as well as make a shared filter the default for all new users. Existing users will not be affected and will continue to see their most recently used filter.

### Auto-assign tickets to online agents

The new **Auto-assign tickets** feature streamlines ticket distribution by automatically assigning new chat requests to an online agent.

#### **To enable it:**

1. Go to **Project Settings > Chat for JSM > General Settings**.
  - Alternatively, open the **Chats** tab, and click the agents button > **Auto-assign tickets**.
2. Toggle **Enable auto-assign** on.

The system will randomly assign the ticket to an online agent, and the assigned agent will receive sound and flag notifications for the incoming ticket.
