### **1: Allow notifications in your browser**

Click **Allow** in the pop-up you're seeing in the upper-left corner.

| **If pop-up does not appear **
Go to Settings in **Chrome** > **Privacy and security** > **Site settings** > **Notifications**.
a) Select "Sites can ask to send notifications" as a default behavior, get back to the previous page, and refresh to get a pop-up as specified in step 1.
OR
b) Add the URL [chat-api.spartez-software.com](http://chat-api.spartez-software.com) to the "Allowed to send notifications" section manually.
![Chrome site settings for notifications](media://3823fa77-b2d6-4bba-8408-0739161edaed)
⚠️* Ensure the URL *[*chat-api.spartez-software.com*](http://chat-api.spartez-software.com)* is NOT specified under the "Not allowed to send notifications" section. * |

### **2: Turn on Notifications in Your Operation System **

### **3: Use notifications in Chat for JSM **

Check desired notification options on **Chat for JSM** > **[Notifications](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHAT/pages/93357462)**.

If everything goes well, you'll get notifications like the one below:

If you have done all previous steps, but notifications are still not showing up, you may check the following workaround:

1. Enter `chrome://flags/#enable-system-notifications` in the URL
2. Disable a flag for system notifications.
