On this page, you’ll learn how to change the header and greeting messages that appear on the Chat Widget. 

> ⚠️ **Important: **The changes made here apply to both the Jira Customer Portal and external web sites.

## How to Customize Chat Widget Texts

1. Open the project and click **Project Settings** > **Chat Settings**.
2. Select **Widget Functionality**.

3. Click **General Settings** to reveal the message options:

4. After making the changes, click **Save**.
