## Introduction

A [configuration snapshot](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CMJ/pages/198279727) represents the state of Jira configuration objects at a given point in time. Snapshots capture the state of the objects as well as their relations to each other. With Configuration Manager, you can create three types of snapshots:

- [Project with Issues Snapshots](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CMJ/pages/198247183)

## Requirements

You need System Administrator privileges to be able to create snapshots.
