## Binary snapshots

Configuration Manager’s snapshot files are now in binary format. This new format allows you to download, upload and deploy snapshots faster. We’re also giving you a tool to convert binary snapshot files to XML and vise versa. You will find the converter in the *Advanced Utilities* page.
