## Overview

Pages and blog posts automatically update their data for the following document control reports including

- [Document Approvals Report Macro](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/741638366)
- [Document Tasks Report Macro](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/943456744) [v2.2.0+]

However, sometimes data is not updated if unexpected errors occur or there was a lack of edit permissions by the user that triggered the update. In these cases, the data for the reports can be manually populated by running a space-level job using the **Refresh Data** screen in the space tools Document Control dashboard.

## When would I want to use this?

The Refresh Data option is used to populate space properties data for the workflow properties for your pages and blog posts in a space if there are unexpected errors in Comala Document Control reports and report macros.

## Running the space population

In space tools Document Control dashboard

- open the **Refresh Data **dashboard
- choose **Refresh Data **option

> ⚠️ Before running the space properties population job, all workflows must be enabled or the already existing data of pages and blog posts are deleted.

The progress screen displays the data refresh task.

Close when completed.

## Impersonation group for Refresh Data

[v2.3.1+]

To ensure the data refresh process has access to restricted pages, a global administrator can set a Confluence user group to impersonate a Confluence administrator when the data refresh process is executed in a space.

The **Impersonation group for the Refresh Data** option is available in the app [global configuration](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/650122550) (from v2.3.1 Data Center). If impersonation is required, it must be set for the instance by the global administrator before the data refresh process is run.
