## Overview

Use this option to add a workflow to an individual page or blog post.

This option is only available when

- A [space workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649629790) is not active in the space

- Global configuration is set to allow [page workflows to be applied in the space](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649564301)
- You have view and edit permission for the page or blog post

Choosing the** Add Workflow...** option opens the **Add workflow** dialog box.

Space administrators can choose to add the workflow in space mode by highlighting the right-hand option in this dialogue box.

If the current user is not a space administrator, this choice is not shown, and the **Add workflow** dialog box is shown to choose the workflow to apply to the current page.

Choose **Next** to open the Add workflow dialog box.

> ℹ️ There is a choice of one of three different workflows to add to the page.

Highlight a workflow and choose **Apply** to add the workflow to the individual page.

When choosing to add either the [Content Expiry Workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649926643) or the [Quality Management Systems Workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649534071) you will be asked to undertake some additional setup of the workflow. In the setup, you need to add the values for some workflow parameters for each workflow:

When adding the [Content Expiry Workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649926643), you are asked to amend a default value for the expiry period of the** Approved** content

This value is the period of time from the time of transition into the **Approved** state.

When adding the [Quality Management Systems (QMS) Workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649534071), you are asked to enter the names of the users or the Confluence groups who are added as reviewers and must undertake the content reviews in some of the workflow states.

The first application of the workflow in a space requires the addition of at least one value for one of the parameters.

These values can be edited:

- Using the **[Edit Parameters](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649664512)** option in the **page tools menu **for a workflow applied as[ page-level workflow](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMALACDCLS/pages/649629790)
- In the space tools workflows dashboard for a space workflow

These workflow parameters can be prepopulated if the workflow has been previously added to content in the space.

The option to add a page workflow also depends on the user having** edit** or **admin** permissions for the page.
