# Overview

You can migrate your Comala Publishing app data from a hosted instance using the [Atlassian Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA)](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219672/confluence-cloud-migration-assistant?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview).

After a successful migration, you should verify data in your migrated spaces and your users. Other post-migration tasks can include the following:

- **Update publishing status** for pages migrated with restrictions. If you have chosen to migrate pages with restrictions, migration sets the page publishing status in the source space to **NEW **in the source space to avoid misaligning the publishing status for these pages in your cloud spaces
- **Add and configure additional apps** for your cloud instance. For example, management and approval of documents with the [Cloud Document Management for Cloud app](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDMC/pages/657362606)

> 📝 If you were using a sync label as a publishing condition in your data center app, you might need to consider options in Confluence Cloud for the affected pages.

# Prerequisites

You must have completed

- **CCMA migration task** - [Step 2 - Migrate your data using the migration assistant](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPCL/pages/2223505609)

# Post-migration

### **Update publishing status for pages migrated with restrictions**

If you choose to migrate pages with restrictions, migration sets the page publishing status in the source space to **NEW **if a source page or the linked target space page has page restrictions. This avoids misaligning the publishing status for these pages in your cloud spaces.

For these pages, you will need to

- remove the page restrictions for the source space page or target space page
- publish and sync the source space page

> ✅ In Confluence Cloud, you can use the [publishing report](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CPCL/pages/1072562207) to view and check the publishing status of pages in the source space and target spaces.

### **Add and configure additional apps**

Based on your planning review and needs, you might need to add and configure additional apps for your cloud instance. For example, document management and approval might require the [Cloud Document Management for Cloud app](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDMC/pages/657362606).

Configuring and using the additional apps can affect the publishing status of the migrated source and target spaces. For example, changes in an applied Comal workflow, such as a transition to the final state, can publish and sync pages.

For third-party app integrations, refer to the Comala Publishing Cloud [product comparison](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MIGCP/pages/649102027) and the Atlassian Marketplace for a cloud iteration of any required third-party apps.
