Welcome to Canned Responses Pro Templates for Jira! We’re happy to see you here. 

Canned Responses (CR) lets you save time by creating dynamic templates for work items and repetitive tickets. Templates can consist of formatted text, links, images, or dynamic variables that allow you to get value from custom fields on the fly. This makes templates more flexible and useful for different teams and projects. Customize signatures and automate actions, and keep an eye on your team's activity via the Insights Panel, which shows detailed statistics and reports.

## Before you begin

- You must be a **[Jira administrator](https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/managing-global-permissions-776636359.html)** to carry out the instructions on this page.

## How to install Canned Responses Pro Templates for Jira

Installing Canned Responses is like installing any other Jira app (see [Managing add-ons](https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/managing-apps-776830283.html) in the Jira documentation).

1. Log in to your Jira Cloud instance as a Jira Administrator.
2. Select the **Jira** **Settings **cog in the top right of your Jira instance and select **Apps**. The *Find New Apps* page displays.
3. Type `Canned Responses Pro Templates for Jira` in the search field and press **Enter**.
4. Click **Try it free** to install your app.
5. Click **Start Free Trial**. A confirmation message displays once it installs successfully.

> ✅ **Canned Responses Pro needs cookies! **Make sure to allow all cookies in your browser settings. This is needed for the Canned Responses section to be displayed in your Jira.

> ℹ️ If your company uses restrictive firewall or proxy server settings, please allowlist the Atlassian domains specified [in this article](https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/ip-addresses-and-domains-for-atlassian-cloud-products/).

## Before you continue

We highly recommend users install the companion browser extension for Canned Responses. Installing the extension allows for simple integration with the Jira interface, support for additional screens, and extended functionality that bypasses Jira's limitations.
