# **New features**

### ** **[JIRA CLOUD] New guided onboarding experience

This release replaces the old setup flow with a guided, step-by-step configuration stepper that gets you from zero to a working integration between Jira and Salesforce. New onboarding guides you through creating a connection between Salesforce and Jira, configuring settings, and creating a binding for your Jira space with field mappings. For details, see [Set up your integration. ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSFJIRA/pages/1873412559)

- **Improved entity and field mapping view**
A cleaner, visual side-by-side layout for mapping Jira and Salesforce entities, fields, and values. For details, see [Configure entity and field mappings from scratch](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSFJIRA/pages/3664152584).
- **Entity mapping templates**
Setting up entity and field mappings between Jira and Salesforce is now faster with ready-made templates. Select from four templates based on your team's workflow:
  - Bug escalation: track unresolved bugs and bring Salesforce cases into Jira for your engineering team.
  - Feature requests: send customer feature requests from Salesforce into Jira and track them through development.
  - Deal enablement: connect Salesforce opportunities to Jira work items.
  - Deal and feature sync: align sales, product, and engineering by syncing Salesforce opportunities and customer requests with Jira.
For details, see [Configure entity and field mappings with templates](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSFJIRA/pages/3664152459).
- **Configuration testing after setup**
You can now test your configuration before completing the setup. A dedicated test step at the end of the setup process lets you associate a Jira work item with a Salesforce record and verify that your bindings, mappings, and sync behavior work as expected.
For details, see [Associate Jira work items with Salesforce records from Jira](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSFJIRA/pages/3663725288).
