The [Tabs ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CTFCC/pages/1561725840)and [Pages to Tabs](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CTFCC/pages/1561267409) macros let you customize the position of the tabs. You can position the tabs at the top or on the left side of the page.

## Video: Tab customizations

The following video demonstrates all tab customizations available in the Composition—Tabs and Composition—Pages to Tabs macros.

## Guide

1. In macro edit mode, click the **Expand **arrow on the left to open the *Tabs customizations *panel.
2. By default, the *Tab position *setting is set to *Top*.
3. To move the tabs to the side of the page,** **from the **Tab position** menu, select **Side**.
4. To switch back to the default position, from the **Tab position** menu, select **Top**.
5. From the **Tab style** menu, choose the visual theme for your tabs.
  - **Default**:** **Displays the tab titles in colored text. The title of the active tab is underlined and displayed in a darker shade.
  - **Blocks**:** **Displays the tab titles in colored boxes. The title box of the active tab is displayed in a darker shade.
  - **Top highlight**: Displays the tab titles in colored text. The title of the active tab is overlined and displayed in a darker shade.
6. Under *Tab font size*, adjust the size of the tab titles - **Small**, **Medium**, or **Large**.
7. Under *Tabs color*, customize the colors for active and inactive tabs.   
The first line shows the dark shades for the active tabs, and the second line shows the light shades for the inactive tabs.
8. When you’re ready, click the **Collapse **arrow to close the *Tabs customization* panel.
