This page will guide you through the process of installing Composition Tabs for Confluence Server & Data Center.

## Prerequisites

- Verify your system meets the requirements of the [Supported Platforms](https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Supported+Platforms?__hstc=72543820.4e76311f874131a99198a462418b615c.1662100942946.1667208712442.1667211226999.146&__hssc=72543820.90.1667211226999&__hsfp=2024179838).  
You can check your Java version by running the `java -version` command.
- Verify that the following system plugins are enabled on your Confluence instance:
  - *Workbox - Common Plugin*
  - *Workbox s - Host Plugin*
  - *Workbox s - Confluence Provider Plugin*
- Log in to your Confluence instance as an *administrator*.

## Guide

1. Select **Administration **(⚙️) >** Manage apps**.
2. On the *Manage apps* page, select **Find new apps**.
3. Use the search to find *Composition Tabs for Confluence* in the Marketplace.
4. Click **Try free **to begin a trial or **Buy now** to purchase a license.
5. When prompted, log in to* MyAtlassian.*
6. Enter your information and click **Generate license**.
7. Click **Apply license**.  
If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Confluence instance.

## Frequently Asked Questions

<summary>What if the Confluence Instance can not access the Atlassian Marketplace?</summary>

<u>[MyAtlassian](https://my.atlassian.com/products/index)</u> is a site to manage your Atlassian-related licensing and orders. If you have a valid license for the app, the license key is stored on MyAtlassian.

You can copy the license key and manually paste the key into the Universal Plugin Manager:

1. Go to the top-right of the page and select **Administration **(⚙️) >** Manage apps**.
2. Expand the app details and paste the license key in the box.
