## Teams

### BigPicture teams can be based on Jira Teams

[rolling out]

**What is synchronized?**

Team members - The team in BigPicture will consist of the same users as in Jira.

**Is synchronization automatic? **

The re-synchronization has to be triggered manually. It can be triggered directly in the teams module of any box.

**Will changes made in BigPicture affect our Jira teams?**

No. Synchronization is uni-directional. BigPicture is updated to match the state of Jira.

**What if someone edited a team in BigPicture?**

A pencil icon indicates that the team has been changed in BigPicture. Such a team will NOT be affected by global re-synchronization to avoid losing data. After reviewing the discrepancy, you can re-synchronize an individual team to pull data from Jira and replace the custom BigPicture setup.

**Can a Jira team be used in multiple boxes?**

You can’t create multiple separate BigPiture teams based on the same Jira team. **You can assign the teams to multiple boxes.** This means you can easily create them on the root box (home) level and assign them to boxes as needed.

**Can memberships and availability be changed for Jira-based teams?**

Yes, you can change the team members' availability as normal, as it is not related to any Jira team settings.
