<span style="color: #000000">In this section, you can preconfigure the Risk settings of a given box type.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">These include the following:</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">Inheritance mode</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">Default card views</span>

> ℹ️ Changes to the **Inheritance mode** under the **Card views** page apply to all boxes of a given type (existing and newly created).
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ Changes to the **Default card views** apply to newly created boxes only.

<span style="color: #000000">Whenever you decide to add a new box, you select a box type, and the default settings are applied. </span>

> ℹ️ The **Risks module** is now available for boxes with no scope. Although the module can be added (see [Modules (Box types)](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DLP/pages/298127477)), it does not allow you to create new risks. The **Add** button is greyed out).
