## Review merge suggestions

This is a **low-effort**, **minutes**, **required** configuration.

User merge in Flow is the essential process of consolidating various digital identities into a single, comprehensive profile for each developer. Because contributors often use different email addresses or usernames across various Git providers and project management tools, their work can appear fragmented or attributed to multiple ghost users.

By merging these aliases into one Apex user, administrators ensure that individual metrics such as Coding Days and Impact are accurate and reflect the person's total output. This process is primarily handled by the auto-merge feature (revisit [Step 2](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FD/pages/2833678537) if needed), which identifies matches based on shared email addresses or sign-in credentials.

However, manual merging remains a critical tool for resolving discrepancies where usernames differ significantly or where the automated system requires human verification to maintain data integrity.

To begin your review, click the **Merge users** button. This will take you to the *Merge suggestions* tab on the *Merge Users* page, where you select users and their aliases for merging.
