The goal of this step is to set up at least one team so that you can start seeing data.

## First team setup

This is a **low effort**, **minutes**, **recommended** configuration.

Flow team are organizational units that group individual contributors together to mirror your organization’s real-world structure. They are the primary lens through which managers and executives view data, moving the focus away from the individual "lines of code" toward collective health and delivery patterns.

To start creating your first team, click the **Create **button. This will take you to the **Create new team **modal on the *Teams* page, where you can create a new Flow team.
