The goal of this step is to integrate external vendors with Flow so that you can start pulling data.

## Connect your Git integration

This is a **low-effort**, **minutes**, **required** configuration.

Integrations are the essential pipelines that feed Flow the raw data it needs to generate insights. 

Connecting directly to your Git providers and project management tools provides unified visibility across your entire development lifecycle. This allows Flow to automate data collection, eliminating the need for manual reporting while identifying process bottlenecks, such as long review cycles. Ultimately, these connections ensure that metrics accurately reflect developer effort and code health without interrupting the team's workflow.

To begin connecting Flow to an external vendor, click the **Add integration** button. This will take you to the *Select an Integration provider* page, where you select a vendor and start the integration process.
