## Report update: Executive summary assessment

We have revamped the [Executive summary](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FD/pages/1802633441) to provide a more intuitive and actionable view of your engineering health. The headline of this update is the brand-new **Assessment** section, designed to help you quickly gauge organizational maturity across the entire development lifecycle. 

The Executive summary brings together git, PR, and ticket data into one cohesive view so leaders can quickly understand how teams are working, what’s going well, and where to focus.

This new interactive Assessment section categorizes your performance into three key stages: **Activity**,** Collaboration**, and **Delivery**.

- **Dynamic scoring:** Each stage is assigned a score (from Poor to Excellent) based on weighted averages of core metrics.
- **Targeted focus:** The report automatically identifies a **Focus area**, highlighting the specific stage in the cycle that requires the most immediate attention to help your team improve.
- **Drill-down insights:** You can now toggle between stages to see the exact metrics driving each score—such as Coding Days, Impact, or Efficiency—with clear targets to aim for.

While the Assessment section is the star of the show, we have also polished the remaining sections of the report with minor UI updates and improved metric tooltips to ensure your reporting remains clear, consistent, and easy to digest at a glance.

# Partial release

We are excited to introduce AI Assistant partially to enhance your Flow experience. This change is currently being tested with a select group of users to gather feedback and ensure the best possible user experience. This means some users will see the new feature while others will continue with the existing experience.

## Flow AI Assistant

[Flow AI Assistant](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=fd&title=Flow%20AI%20Assistant%20%28Beta%29&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=3197665348) is a context-aware chat that helps customers turn engineering data into clear, actionable insights — without needing to dig through dashboards and reports. It pulls from Flow data to answer questions and help tell the story behind team performance.

The release includes:

- **Seamless access:** Launch the AI chat directly from the new icon in the top-right header.
- **Real-time responses:** View streamed AI responses with integrated progress indicators.
- **MCP integration:** Connect external AI clients to Flow via a dedicated [Model Context Protocol (MCP)](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=fd&title=Flow%20Model%20Context%20Protocol%20%28MCP%29%20%28Beta%29&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=3197665348) endpoint.
- **Privacy and control:** Manage AI consent and configuration directly within Flow Settings.
