## What’s New

## What Forge Means for You

By moving HTML Macro for Confluence Cloud to **Forge**, Atlassian’s modern cloud app platform, we’re bringing stronger privacy, security, and compliance alignment to our app. Forge apps:

- Run fully on Atlassian-hosted compute and storage
- Support data residency consistent with the host Atlassian product

This ensures HTML Macro for Confluence Cloud integrates more seamlessly with your organization’s compliance, security, and data residency needs.

## **Recommendation before upgrading to the Forge version**

We’re upgrading **HTML Macro for Confluence Cloud** to Atlassian’s Forge platform for improved security and reliability.

Before upgrading the app version 3.0.0 (Forge), please follow these steps:

1. **Open any Confluence page** that contain the HTML macro.
2. **Verify that the content renders** as expected.
3. Once confirmed, **proceed with upgrading** to the Forge version.

This ensures that your existing configuration is fully ready and all macro content transitions smoothly.
