## Features

- The content slider lets you create each slide in a container, with full Confluence editing and formatting functionality.

- Use the content slider macro to slide through page content like text, links, or even charts instead of just images. Whether you want to create interactive step-by-step guides or just a simple news ticker, it's now possible with the content slider macro.
- Build a content slider with each slide as its content container. You can place as many entries as you want inside a *Content Slider* macro block by using the *Content Slider Entry* macro.

## Parameters

| **Parameter** | **Default** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| *Width* | 500px | Width of the slider in pixels or percents. Leave blank to let the slider automatically choose the best size. e.g. 100%, 500px |
| *Height* | 300px | Height of the slider in pixels. Leave blank to let the slider automatically choose the best size. |
| *Background Color* | WhiteSmoke | The background colour of the content slider. Use hexadecimal notation or [HTML colour name](https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_names.asp). |
| *Slider Effect* | Fade | Choose between multiple transition effects. Valid values are:<br>- *Fade*
- *Slide* |
| *Auto Slide Display Time* | 3000 | Time (ms) how long each image will be shown. 0 value turns the auto slider off. |
| *Content Padding* | selected | Enable to add padding to slide content. |
| *Show Navigation* | selected | Choose to show the prev/next navigation. |
| *Show Bullets* | selected | Choose to show bullets at the bottom of the slider. |


## Creating Content Slider macro

1. Go to the page where you want to display the slides and click edit.
2. Click the **+** icon. Search for the *Content Slider* macro.  
(or) you can type* ****{ Content***, the list with content suggestions is displayed, select the *Content Slider* macro.
3. Select *Content Slider* macro. The *Content Slider* macro is displayed.
4. Click the **+** icon. Search for the *Content Slider* macro.  
(or) you can type* ****{ Content***, the list with latex macro suggestions is displayed, select the *Content Slider Entry* macro.
5. Add the content in the *Content Slider Entry* macro. You can add as many *Content Slider Entry* macros as you wish; each *Content Slider Entry* macro will create one slide.
6. Click the macro body and select **Edit**. The *Content Slider* macro is displayed.

8. Click **Apply**.
9. Publish the page. The Content slider is rendered on to your page.
