<span style="color: #000000">This post function automatically assigns the issue to the user in the selected user custom field. </span>

### To add the Assign Issue to User in Custom Field post function, follow these steps:

1. <span style="color: #000000"> Click the Jira cog icon > </span><span style="color: #000000">**Issues **</span><span style="color: #000000">></span><span style="color: #000000">** Workflows**</span><span style="color: #000000">. </span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">After finding the workflow, go to the three-dots icon and click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Edit**</span><span style="color: #000000">. Navigate to the transition of your workflow.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">Switch to the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Post Functions**</span><span style="color: #000000"> tab.</span>
4. <span style="color: #000000">Click the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Add post function **</span><span style="color: #000000">link.</span>
5. <span style="color: #000000">Select </span><span style="color: #000000">**JEP - Assign Issue to User in Custom Field Post Function**</span><span style="color: #000000"> and then click the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Add**</span><span style="color: #000000"> button.</span>
6. <span style="color: #000000">Select the User custom field</span><span style="color: #000000">**.**</span><span style="color: #000000"> The issue will be assigned automatically to the user within this field.</span>
7. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Add**</span><span style="color: #000000">, and you’ll be redirected to the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Post Functions*</span><span style="color: #000000"> list.</span>
8. Don’t forget to click **Publish Draft** to publish the workflow and save your changes.
