<span style="color: #000000">Use this post function to automatically add a user as a watcher in a field/custom field within the parent issue. This post function can be added more than once.</span>

### To add the Add Subtask User(s) to Parent Issue Watchers List post function, follow these steps:

1. Click the Jira cog icon > **Issues **>** Workflows**.
2. After finding the workflow, go to the three-dots icon and click **Edit**. Navigate to the transition of your workflow.
3. Switch to the **Post Functions** tab.
4. Click the **Add post function **link.
5. Select **JEP - Add Subtask User(s) to Parent Issue Watchers List Post Function** and then click the **Add** button.
6. <span style="color: #000000">Fill in the form:</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">Choose a </span><span style="color: #000000">**field (Assignee, Reporter).**</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">Choose a </span><span style="color: #000000">**Custom field (all single or multi-user custom fields are listed here).**</span>

7. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Add**</span><span style="color: #000000">, and you’ll be redirected to the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Post Functions*</span><span style="color: #000000"> list.</span>
8. <span style="color: #000000">Don’t forget to click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Publish Draft**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to publish the workflow and save your changes.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">After the transition, the users in either field or custom field will be automatically added as watchers within the parent issue.</span>
