> ℹ️ This content is for JSU for Jira Server/Data Center. If you are using JSU on Jira Cloud, see our JSU Cloud Installation [documentation](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/12518361).

JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows (JSU) is both easy to use and easy to set up. Follow the instructions below to install or upgrade JSU in Jira.

## Before you begin

- You must be a** **[Jira administrator](http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Global+Permissions)** **to follow the instructions on this page.
- Before installing or upgrading JSU, ensure that you select a version of the app that is compatible with your Jira version. See [version compatibility](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/5048/jsu-automation-suite-for-jira-workflows?tab=versions&hosting=server) on the Atlassian Marketplace.
- JDK and browser requirements for the JSU app match the relevant Jira requirements. See the [Jira Supported Platforms page](http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Supported+Platforms) to check the version of Jira you are using.

## Install JSU

Installing JSU is similar to installing any other Jira app with the Universal Plugin Manager (see [Managing add-ons](https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/managing-add-ons-861253081.html) in the Jira documentation).

**To install JSU:**

3. Type `JSU` in the search field and press `Enter`. The JSU app displays in the search results.
4. Click** Free Trial **(or **Buy Now**) and select your hosting requirements. Trial licenses are valid for 30 days.
5. Complete the licensing details for your selected license type. A confirmation message and app details appear once the installation is complete.

## Update JSU
