The rendered equations and UI look the same in view mode. The table below summarizes what changes in the editor when moving from the Connect version to the Forge version:

## **Macro rendering performance**

- If a page contains multiple LaTeX macros created with the *Forge version* of the app, it *renders quickly*.
- If a page contains multiple macros created with the *Connect version* of the app, the *first render* is slightly slower, but the *second and subsequent renders* are fast. We recommend keeping a page to at most 50-60 LaTeX macros; beyond that, macro loading performance may degrade.
