Use the *LaTeX Math Block Reference* to link a *LaTeX Math Block* you created to the section where you are working.

> ℹ️ To work with *LaTeX Math Block  Reference*, you must install the *LaTeX Math* application. For more information, see [Installation](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LM/pages/77038624).

> ℹ️ You must specify the *Anchor* in the *[LaTex Math Block](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LM/pages/297336970)* macro to generate the reference link using the *LaTex Math Block Reference* macro, you must specify the anchor.

## Parameters

The following table provides you with a description of the parameters:

| **Parameter Name** | **Default** | **Mandatory** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| *Anchor name* | ❌ | ✅ | Enter the name of the anchor that you used when you created the *LaTeX Math Block* macro. |
| *Confluence page* | Current page | ❌   
(With Constraints) | Enter the name of the page containing the *LaTeX Math Block* macro. Leave the parameter blank if you want to refer to the math block from the same page. |

## Create a ‘LaTeX Math Block Reference’ Macro

To create a *LaTeX Math Block Reference* macro, perform the following steps:

1. Create a new page or **Edit** where you want to create an equation.

 2. Type / or click the + icon.

3. Select *LaTeX Math Block Reference* and Click **Insert**. The *‘LaTeX Math Block Reference’ *window is displayed.

4. Enter the following details:

*a. Anchor name*

*b. Confluence page*

5. The link is automatically generated. The link is of the following format: 

> (Confluence page: Numbering)


> ℹ️ In the LaTeX math reference macro, 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - Reference from a page to a blog post is supported.
> ℹ️ - Reference from one page to another page is supported.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ However, you might not be able to view the equation on the math block preview mode for the following cases
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ - Reference from a blog post to a page.
> ℹ️ - Reference from a blog post to another blog post.

## Edit a ‘LaTeX Math Block Reference’ Macro

To edit a *LaTeX Math Block Reference,* do the following:

> ℹ️ You must be in the **Edit** mode to edit a macro block reference.

1. Click the :edit:  icon. The *LaTeX Math Block Reference *window is displayed.

 2. You can change any of the parameters that you want to change. The change is displayed automatically.

## Delete a ‘LaTeX Math Block Reference’ Macro

To delete the* LaTeX Math Block Reference*, select the link and click the :trash: remove icon. The link is deleted.

> ℹ️ You must be in the **Edit** mode to delete a macro block reference.
