Click **Start new migration** to open the *Configure scan* screen and define search parameters. 

> ℹ️ No changes are made during the scan phase.

| Migration name | A recognizable label (for example:`Q3 ENG MID ROLLOUT`) | - Required. The name displays on the Dashboard |
| Spaces | One or more Confluence spaces, selected from the spaces table.<br>A maximum of 10 spaces can be scanned and migrated. | - Only spaces accessible by your admin account are listed.
- Start with a small pilot space before selecting many spaces.
- A maximum of 10 spaces can be scanned and migrated.
- Use Search by space name or key and Migration status to filter.
- Status options:
  - Not in any plan
  - Scanned
  - In progress
  - Converted.
- Total selected shows `N of 10 allowed`.
- Paginated with Rows per page |
| Source apps | Define which apps are being detected. Toggle competitor apps to detect. for example:<br>- Mosaic
- Narva | - Matches the [supported vendors ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LM/pages/3578527777)for your release. Enable at least one. |
| Back to dashboard | Return without starting a scan |  |
| Next | Validates and starts the scan. Previous is disabled on this step. |  |

After you submit the details, Bulk Converter creates a scan job and takes you to the *Scan Progress* screen. The job also appears on the *Dashboard* with a status of **Running**.
