<span style="color: #000000">This article illustrates the process of adding a GitLab profile to the Markdown macros.</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">Navigate to </span>**<span style="color: #000000">CONFLUENCE ADMINISTRATION > Settings > ATLASSIAN MARKETPLACE > </span>****<span style="color: #000000">Markdown Configuration > Profiles</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Add Profile.</span>**
3. <span style="color: #000000">Enter a unique profile name in the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Profile name</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> text box. </span>
4. <span style="color: #000000">Select GitLab from the options in </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Profile type</span>*<span style="color: #000000">. </span><span style="color: #000000">Note that the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Request headers</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> parameter is auto-filled.</span>> Macro (inline-media-image)
5. <span style="color: #000000">Enter the </span>[<span style="color: #000000">API URL</span>](https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/api/repository_files.html)<span style="color: #000000"> for GitLab in the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">URL</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> text box. For example, </span>[<span style="color: #000000">https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects</span>](https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects)<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
6. <span style="color: #000000">Enter the</span> [<span style="color: #000000">Personal access token</span>](https://gitlab.com/help/api/README.md#personal-access-tokens)<span style="color: #000000"> for your GitLab profile in the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Access token</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> text box.</span>
7. Click **Save profile**<span style="color: #000000"> to create the profile.</span>
