The usage of the MultiExcerpt app is directly linked to page views. If you have a MultiExcerpt Include on a page, the app's usage reflects the number of times that page has been viewed. The frequency with which a MultiExcerpt is associated with a MultiExcerpt Include also contributes to its overall usage metrics.

You can check how widely the macros within your instance are applied using the Atlassian Macro Usage feature.

## Macros included in the app

The Forge version of MultiExcerpt for Confluence includes two macros:

- **multiexcerpt** — Create reusable content. This single macro replaces all previous excerpt macro types (including Advanced, Advanced Inline, and legacy variants).
- **multiexcerpt-include** — Display content from a MultiExcerpt on another page. This single macro replaces all previous include macro types.

> ℹ️ If you migrated from Data Center to Cloud, all legacy macro types are automatically supported by these two macros. No additional configuration is required.
