# Scenario

Number the heading only for the required parts or sections of the page using* Numbered Headings *macro.

## Steps

The following steps demonstrate how to apply the heading number to a part or section of the page using* Numbered Headings *macro:

| 1️⃣ | ## Step 1<br>**Select Number Headings**<br>1. Navigate to the documentation page and click edit.
2. Go to the content where you need to insert the formula.
3. Type ‘/' and search for the *Numbered Headings* macro or use the '+’ option in the main toolbar and search for the *Numbered Headings* macro.

| 2️⃣ | ## Step 2<br>**Customize the heading**<br>1. Choose the numbering format from the *Number format* drop-down menu. In this example, we choose *Decimal* as the number format for our document.
