Page numbering helps you to number all headings on a page. It is the easiest and least obtrusive way to number your headings.

> ℹ️ If collaborative editing of pages is allowed, the **Numbered headings** button is enabled for use in new pages. Otherwise, users must save the page first before the button can be enabled.


> ⚠️ We discourage combining macro numbering and page numbering on the same page to prevent confusion, especially when using advanced configuration.
